Appium for Mac : Host mapping for iOS Apps

As we do host mapping in Windows through host file in drivers/etc/hosts, we can do it in Mac using terminal.

1. Open terminal and run this command.

sudo nano /private/etc/hosts

2. It will prompt for password. Type password and hit enter.

3. It will open host file and you can save it using Command + O.

The simulators will use the same mapping and if you are using real device then you need to manually set proxy settings to the connected network and use listeners on some machine where you have done mapping.
